MCALLEN, Texas - Joey Trevi\\xf1o, executive director of the Rio Grande Valley Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America, was a panelist at a recent summit on apprenticeships.
The 2nd Annual Apprenticeship Summit was hosted recently by South Texas College.\\xa0
In his remarks on the STC panel, Trevi\\xf1o said he was proud to have set up a women\\u2019s committee that promotes women in the construction industry.\\xa0
He also spoke in support of apprenticeships, pointing out that many skilled workers are reaching retirement age.\\xa0
