Ep. 9 - When Church Hurts
What do you do when the place of healing becomes a place of pain? What happens when pastors are perpetrators preying on people in church? How does one cling to the Creator when church hurts?
Chandra Jarrett has experienced her share of church hurt from being sexually abused by a pastor to being called a Jezebel and put out of the church by another pastor. Although she's left the church multiple times, she's always clung to Jesus in the midst of the pain.
Church people can be messy and dirty but don't allow them to define God. Chandra encourages anyone who has experienced church hurt to know God for yourself. She says "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water." Give God another chance.
