Radio Sweden Weekly: Roxette's Marie Fredriksson remembered, kids meet Nobel laureate, political shake-up, music from a glass box

Published: Dec. 12, 2019, 3:30 p.m.

Sweden mourns Roxette Singer Marie Fredriksson who died this week. We find out more about the beginning of her career, and how come her record label once tried to stop Roxette from forming.

Also in the programme, we look at how the planned reform of the Public Employment Agency resulted in some unusual political bedfellows. We visit a cold, but lively square in Västerås, to find out why Swedish Music Aid is so popular, and speak to students involved in one of the more quiet traditions of the Nobel Week. Presented and produced by Ulla Engberg.
