Episode 25: Deepfakes for the Deepstate
Deepfakes are on the docket: videos that seem to feature a specific individual, even though they weren’t in it. First Travis will lead us into the conspiracy theory swamps of QAnon to figure out what Q and his followers think of Deepfakes. Then we’ll jump into Deep Fake flavored thriller led by our head Jack-Reacher-Ologist, Jake. Finally Julian will try his best to explain how Deepfakes came to be, and why they are an alarming new development in our post-truth world.
