Ep 19: How Not Honoring Your Baby Might Be Affecting You

Published: Feb. 21, 2021, 4:04 a.m.

As a Birth Warrior you know that there are certain dates that are especially hard to work through: the anniversary of your baby’s estimated due date, the anniversary of the day they entered the world, and the anniversary of the day they left.

My son’s birthday was on February 14th and boy were my emotions high as I moved closer to the date! In the first year after his transition, I remember being so uncertain about what to do that I ended up doing nothing at all. I hated the gaping hole I felt afterwards, and so this year, I decided that I would absolutely do something to honor him. And I did. What I was left with was a sense of peace and even joyfulness. (FYI...I noticed I mistakenly said that Feb 14 was his "Angel-versary" during the podcast. It was actually in March when he made his transition. ie, when he became an angel. He was born on Feb 14)

This week’s podcast is an exploration into the MANY ways that not doing something to honor your baby ends up affecting you...and in actually, affecting all the spaces that require your presence. I walk you through what happens in your mind and body why that’s the case, and really accessible ways that you can honor your baby and have that experience contribute to your ongoing healing.
