Doing The Inner Work Around Race

When it comes to social justice, I\\u2019ve noticed my impulse to jump into action, without also doing the inner work. I\\u2019ll quickly condemn oppression, express my support as anti-racist, talk to white friends about these issues, but not actively reflect on my role in the problem, because \\u201cof course I\\u2019m not racist.\\u201d
In this episode, I'll share some of the harder questions I\\u2019ve been asking myself -- ones that require more honesty, humility, and vulnerability. I\\u2019ve found that it\\u2019s one thing for me to be vocal about fighting against oppression, and it\\u2019s another thing for me to become intimate with my own subconscious conditioning. I hope it inspires you to ask your own hard questions, and stay present to this often difficult exploration.
