It has been a busy year in Australian politics.\\xa0

We voted no to the Voice to Parliament. Three state premiers resigned. The government legislated industrial relations changes and housing affordability measures.\\xa0

But the throughline of the year, and the main concern of ordinary voters, was the state of the economy, and the government\\u2019s handling of it.\\xa0

\\n

We had the scourge of stubborn inflation and the RBA\\u2019s ratcheting up of interest rates. And we had a housing affordability problem that politicians have finally acknowledged is actually a crisis.
