'Don't be afraid of COVID', Trump's return to the White House

US President Donald Trump has returned to the White House after leaving the Walter Reed hospital in Maryland where he spent three nights being treated for coronavirus. His return was dramatic, with the president landing in a navy helicopter, before taking off his mask and giving ‘thumbs up’ and salutes to the cameras. He has urged Americans not to be afraid of COVID-19 or let it dominate their lives. Trump’s diagnosis has put more pressure on today’s upcoming vice-presidential debate between democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Republican Mike Pence. In this episode, Sunday Age editor David King is joined by North American correspondent Matthew Knott to discuss the president's return to the White House and the upcoming presidential debates.
