Coronavirus recession: the biggest economic contraction since Great Depression

Australia is officially in recession. Data from the ABS on Wednesday showed the economy contracted by 7% in the June quarter as households and businesses slashed spending. It was the second consecutively quarterly drop in GDP.  In this episode, national editor Tory Maguire is joined by senior economics correspondent Shane Wright to discuss the governments attempts to mitigate the financial impact of the coronavirus recession on Australians.
