Rob Alvarez Bucholska Gamification

Published: May 3, 2019, 1 p.m.

b'Hello, and welcome to Episode 87 of the Planning Period Podcast, your #EdBreakroom. I\'m your host, Brad Shreffler.
This week on the show I am joined by Rob Alvarez Bucholska. Rob is the third in my podcasting blind-date series, but he\'s also the host of the Professor Game podcast, and a professor at the IE Business College in Madrid, Spain. He specializes in creating interactive learning experiences and bringing gaming into the classroom.
Rob and I talk about gamification in business and the classroom, how gamification is different than game-based learning, how teachers can start to use gamification principles in their class, the problem of engagement in the modern classroom, the need for deep thinking in whatever you apply to your classroom, and how we should all be trying new things in our classrooms.
