This week on the show I am joined by Nicole DeLuca. Nicole is a teacher at my school, and is constantly blowing me away with the things she does in the classroom. I always know that I can pop into her room on a day where visitors want to see the best we have to offer, or if I\'m having a rough day and just need to see great teaching and amazing conversations.
DeLuca and I talk about making history relate-able, trying new things, why it\'s always good teachers that burn out, balancing the test with enjoying teaching, the rigid structure of education, the push of all students toward college, choice paralysis, the need for reading complex text, and balancing work and life.
