Episode 20 Chuck Poole

Published: Oct. 20, 2017, 1 p.m.

b'Hello, and welcome to Episode 20 of the Planning Period Podcast, your #EdBreakroom. I\'m your host, Brad Shreffler.
Wow, episode 20. That feels like a big deal to me, and I have a special announcement to celebrate it, but I\'m going to save that for the end of the episode.
This week on the podcast, I talk with Chuck Poole. Chuck is a podcaster, blogger, teacher, coach and physical embodiment of positive energy. I first connected with Chuck through his podcast, Teachonomy Talks, which is an extension of his website teachonomy.com.
Chuck and I talk about his unique classroom outlook, how we need to stay out of the negativity vortex, finding your community and helping others find theirs, and many of the lessons he got from being coached and learned from coaching.

If you\'d like to connect with Chuck, checkout his twitter, he\'s @cpoole27, or checkout his website at teachonomy.com. And if you\'d like to join his private Facebook (I just did!), go to teachonomy.com/private.
Well, I teased a special announcement, and I don\'t think you\'ll be disappointed. In order to celebrate episode 20 of the show, I\'m going to run a special giveaway. For the next two weeks, anyone who leaves a review on iTunes and/or leaves feedback on the Flipgrid I announced a couple weeks ago, will be entered to win. The winner of the giveaway will be sent a Planning Period Podcast T-Shirt, along with a few other pieces of swag.
In order to enter, go to bradshreffler.com/feedback\\xa0and follow one of the links to either iTunes or Flipgrid for the show and let me know what you think. Then, listen to episode 22 in a couple weeks and I will announce the winner on the show. You can earn two entries (one for iTunes, one for Flipgrid), and my current students are not eligible. Sorry kids (but you got a big shoutout in this episode, so take what you can get).
You can always connect with me on twitter, @BradShreffler. I love to hear from you. That\'s also a great place to connect if you\'d like to be a guest on the show.
Until next week, be a sponge everyday.
