It was great to listen to Garth Smith's latest audio diary this week. He is now 8 weeks into his PGCE initial teacher training course and has just completed his first ever lesson in a primary classroom! He was asked to prepare and teach a science lesson and his reactions to the experience are fascinating.

Garth has also been exposed to class and school politics for the first time. As we know, Garth has always been keen to reflect on his experiences so listening to this authentic and raw story gives us an amazing insight into the real experiences of what it's like to undergo teacher training.

We can't wait to hear more from Garth as he continues his journey towards becoming a qualified teacher.

Pivotal Trainers

The annual Pivotal Education Trainers' Meeting also took place this weekend and Paul managed to grab some audio from the event. It's fascinating to hear the way in which the trainers share short exercises and experiences from their work.

There's plenty to discover for use in your own school in the three clips presented this week and you'll be inspired to try some of the techniques out or to invite Pivotal trainers to your school or setting!
