Small number of PNG workers heading to Australia for seasonal work first time since start of COVID-19 pandemic
For the first time in more than a year, farm workers from Papua New Guinea will arrive in Australia to join the seasonal workers program. Ongoing community transmission of COVID-19 in PNG has meant Australian officials have been reluctant to allow workers to rejoin the program.
