Along the entire Western seaboard of the United States, there is only one congressional district still held by Republicans. It’s in Southwest Washington, the seat held by Representative Jaime Herrera Beutler since 2010. And Democrats are hoping this is the year they finally wrest control from her. But it won’t be easy -- Washington’s primary election in August showed Herrera Beutler with a commanding lead over her opponent: Democrat Carolyn Long.
