In his first role after graduating from Northwestern, John MacFarlane \\u201900,\\xa0was\\xa0working\\xa0three jobs simultaneously\\xa0\\u2013 as a\\xa0performer, concertmaster, and teacher\\xa0\\u2013 but he didn\\u2019t stop there. MacFarlane continued down a long and successful career in music doing a variety of things, most recently of which is at the Chicago Lyric Opera Orchestra as the Assistant Principal Second Violin.
