Vandalism On Some Of Irelands Oldest Historical Sites Has Almost Doubled In 2020

Some 21 acts of vandalism to historic sites across Ireland were reported to the Office of Public Works last year — almost double 2019’s figure. Ancient burial tombs, The Hill of Tara and Trim Castle were among the sites damaged in 2020, with repair costs totalling at least €12,500. For more on this we heard from Marc McSharry Fianna Fail spokesperson on Transport Tourism and Sport.
