Mentoring the Afghan Forces

With international forces in Afghanistan having moved from a combat role to one focusing on advising, training and assisting, we take a look at the realities of the new Resolute Support mission on the ground. Out in eastern Afghanistan, as across the rest of the country, international forces remain in close partnership with their Afghan counterparts, albeit in a new role exclusively training, advising and assisting. We speak to two U.S. trainers helping the Afghan army stationed in Nangarhar Province with artillery and engineering support. This version includes voiceover and graphics.
