The first counter-narcotics training for Central Asian officers has started at the Dog Handling Centre of the State Border Guard in Rezekne, Latvia. 10 officers have been going through a training where they acquire sniffer dog-handling skills, as well as learn to share responsibility, vision and commitment to addressing illegal drug trafficking challenges. This training is part of a counter-narcotics training project that NATO has been developing with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) since early 2016. Footage includes counter-narcotic dogs training with their handlers to detect drugs.
