Billion Tech Upgrade for NATO

NATO is turning to the private sector for help in upgrading its satellite and computer technology. The Alliance is planning to spend three billion Euro on expanding satellite communication bandwidth, command and control (C2) software, upgrading NATO’s networks and cyber defence. Some 40 contracts are being put out to tender between now and 2019. The investment will be financed by all NATO Allies. This piece is an animation.
