Afghan Army Learns from the Battlefield
The Afghan army has begun to adapt training programmes based on battlefield experiences. We cover two large-scale training simulations at Kabul’s biggest military training centre. A convoy hits an improvised explosive device (IED) and comes under insurgent attack, a real danger facing the Afghan military in the field. Soldiers also learn how to storm a house containing suspected insurgents.
