In this episode entitled “How Much Would You Pay” Hosts David Greyowl and Michael Kickingbear look at two aspects of the fight around water: 1.) What price will we pay if ground water is poisoned due to oil pipes leaking? When can you no longer trust the water that comes out of your faucets? Where will you go to get water? The Oil Company that caused the problem? Somewhere else? Native American Tribes and allies are fighting hard so that you will still have the right to clean free drinking water. The situation in Standing rock is an example of what extent an Oil Company will go to protect their profits, including violating constitutional rights, Endless treaty violations, and the hiring of Local off-duty law enforcement officers to be complicit in these crimes. 2.) Hour two starts a new series on Native Opinion which takes a hard look at the Nestle company, the largest bottling company in the world. If all available natural drinking water is under the control of a multi-national company like Nestle, how much will we all pay to have access to safe clean drinking water? What is all water is only available in a bottle? What price will we pay if only a few or even ONE company dictates the price of water?
