Frankly Speaking w/ Denise Frank

Published: Jan. 11, 2021, 4 p.m.

Denise Frank earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Immaculata University, 2010, with hopes to teach high school English. However, her career took a turn in a much different direction. The last two years she resided in Pennsylvania, Denise worked with autistic adults. In the summer of 2014, she relocated to the Lone Star State, Texas, and worked as a Conservatorship caseworker for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services’ Child Protective Services division. In the fall of 2015, Denise finally entered the classroom.  She taught 9th grade Reading and English at R. L. Paschal high school and currently tutors students, in writing, at Tarrant County Community College. Additionally, she earned her master’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis at Capella University in December 2016. While working with autistic adults, Denise realized her passion and life’s purpose is to help others, especially women, who either have no voice or have lost their way.
