I used to believe that if I was truly grateful, then I wouldn\u2019t want anything beyond what I had.\n\nI believed that if I wanted anything more, then that was a sign of ingratitude -- I wasn\u2019t being grateful for what I had.\n\nNow I believe that we can simultaneously be grateful for what we have, AND want more.\n\nI believe we are wired for progress, and wanting more of anything good, isn't necessarily a problem.\n\nIn fact, this is how we are taught to pray: first we give thanks, then we ASK. We are taught to be grateful AND want more.\n\nTHREE journal prompts to help you see how your mind may be operating:\n\n1. What do you want? \n(VERY important to be honest with yourself; no judging or editing your brain! Get as specific as you can; avoid broad statements like "I want to be healthy.")\n\n2. What will having that do for you?\n(What do you want to FEEL, and can you imagine feeling it now?)\n\n3. What advice would your future self (who already has the result), tell you?
