The Republican currently representing California's 45th congressional district in the House votes in line with Donald Trump 96% of the time despite the fact that the district went to Hillary Clinton in 2016. Seven Democrats are already running to flip the seat in the 2018 midterms. One of these candidates is Dave Min. Dave is a first-generation Korean American and self-identified wonk with an impressive background in policy. He worked as an enforcement attorney at the Securities and Exchange Commission, economic and financial policy advisor to Senator Chuck Schumer, Associate Director for Financial Markets Policy at the Center for American Progress, and Assistant Professor of Law at UC Irvine.
