The Value of Detachment from Narcissistic Relationships

There are signs that you value detachment from narcissistic relationships.  When you show signs that you are done with the narcissist, you are demonstrating that you\'ve learned the value of detachment from narcissist relationships.  Narcissist relationships often have subtle signs of codependency.  Codependency will discourage detachment and embracing a sense of separateness.  A sense of sparateness is having the ability to become comfortable in your own skin and not perceiving it to be a threat when others choose to do likewise.  Narcissists don\'t like change or anyone who might be "too different," from him or her.  Any signs of your being yourself, personal growth and minding your own business can often be perceived as a threat to narcissistic personality types false-self images which ranges from that of a martyr, saint, to a victim who cannot seem to catch a break in life.  When you value detachment from relationships that are not going anywhere, that\'s reflective or accepting that you are changing while perhaps, your narcissist isn\'t.
