Have you been told you\'re too much?
\\nYou laugh too loud?
\\nTalk too much?
\\nAre too direct?
\\nOr is it just me?
\\nLol because I know it\'s not.
\\nFrom very young ages, women are taught to play small, to be small, and to not rock the boat.
\\nI was praised when I did what others wanted me to do over what I wanted to do.
\\nI was threatened or punished if I spoke up for myself or my needs.
\\nHow does this show up in our lives as young women and beyond?
\\nWe learn to hide our true selves and abandon our desires and wants.
\\nThis leads us to feeling bitter and resentful.
\\nEven more worrisome, we can feel like no one knows the real us.
\\nNo more.
\\nJoin me on the show this week as Kim Strobel and I discuss it all. Patriarchy, people pleasing, confidence, and our role as women crafting a new vision of what being a woman looks like, and even more importantly, feels like.
