My career in cricket has taken in a lot of different experiences. And taken me to many places, home and abroad. As a player I have shared a pitch with legends of the game, and seen the joy of a young player breaking through. I’ve revelled in the unique competition the sport offers and loved the social engagement of teams. From Chance to Shine coaching in schools to Pathway and Performance coaching, seeing the feedback of successfully mastering a skill to the determination to make a difference. As an administrator I have volunteered at my club, worked as a Cricket Development Manager across the participation game and lead strategy at performance and elite level. And as a fan I have witnessed moments of history and euphoria, along with the lows of defeat, all shared with countless like minded friends and strangers. I truly believe that sport can change lives and my journey is no different. From the primary school playground, a chance conversation with a teacher and the fortune of having a local women’s team in the 1990’s, through county age group to becoming Middlesex leading wicket taker. Along the way I have made lifelong friends, learnt valuable lessons and found inspiration in others.
