Today we’re going into session two of the 10 commandments to dealing with difficult people.

These 10 commandments are difficult to follow. Our natural tendency is not to give others the benefit of the doubt or forgive them when they wrong us. Instead, our tendency is to fight back.

However, we must ask ourselves the question: “Do I want to win the fight or do I want to win the war?”

I, for one, want to win the war. I don’t want to let my relationships fall apart because of one disagreement or frustrating moment. I have a feeling you don’t want that, either.

If that’s true, take these 10 commandments to heart. Go back and listen to the first five I shared last week. Then, come back and hear commandments six through ten.

The truth is, no one is immune to this issue. No matter who you are, you have to deal with difficult people.

So, join me. Let’s learn how to do it.

In this episode, you will hear:

 • Why we must guard against overreacting to conflict.
 • How conflict can be a training experience.
 • The importance of letting the difficult person maintain their dignity.
 • The power we hold inside of us.
 • How to balance forgiveness and boundaries.
 • What it looks like to give “extra grace.”
 • Why we need to ignore our feelings sometimes.
