Today, you’re tuning in to part two of last week’s episode.

This being a 2-part episode, you may wonder why I am so focused on this topic of mastering constructive criticism?

The reason is that it’s crucially important to your life. It’s important for your relationships and it’s important for your career.

I want to help you make your personal relationships as strong and positive as they can be. I want to help you achieve the incredible work-life balance that you so desire.

To make all of that happen, you need to get good at giving constructive criticism. You need to learn how to have effective critiquing conversations.

Anytime we offer constructive criticism, we risk our relationships. We risk the other person getting upset or defensive. However, as John F. Kennedy said, there are risks and costs to taking action. The risks, however, are far less than the long-range risks of comfortable inaction.

Too many of us don’t want to point out when something is wrong. Instead, we sugarcoat and we downplay. In doing this, we destroy our world.

So today, let’s take a stand. Let’s stop accepting the things we don’t agree with by being silent. Let’s stand up, take action on these 10 steps, and speak out against the things that are wrong in our world.

In this episode, you will hear:

 • Why you should think before you speak.
 • When you bring a problem, offer a solution.
 • Why constructive criticism requires creativity.
 • Don’t postpone necessary criticism.
 • Criticize the problem, not the person.
 • The danger of attacking people with our words.
 • What it means to take the log out of your own eye first.
 • Why you should end criticism with encouragement.f
