Hi there, this is Jack, Raminta and I would like to welcome you back to another episode of Lithuanian Out Loud.
Today we\\u2019ll continue working on numbers combined with nouns.\\xa0 This episode covers numbers that end in the number zero.\\xa0 On the next episode we\\u2019ll take a break from numbers and explore the verb \\u017ei\\u016br\\u0117ti \\u2013 to look at and ne\\u017ei\\u016br\\u0117ti \\u2013 to not look at.

Hi there, I\\u2019m Raminta and I\\u2019m Jack and welcome back to Lithuanian Out Loud where we offer the world the Lithuanian language.\\xa0 Today we\\u2019re in the month of September which in Lithuanian is\\xa0 -\\xa0 rugs\\u0117jis.
According to Wikipedia, Russia and Belarus have what are called Special Purpose Police Squads or OMON (Russian: \\u041e\\u0442\\u0440\\u044f\\u0434 \\u043c\\u0438\\u043b\\u0438\\u0446\\u0438\\u0438 \\u043e\\u0441\\u043e\\u0431\\u043e\\u0433\\u043e \\u043d\\u0430\\u0437\\u043d\\u0430\\u0447\\u0435\\u043d\\u0438\\u044f; Otryad Militsii Osobogo Naznacheniya).\\xa0 Their motto is "We know no mercy and do not ask for any."\\xa0 In May 1991 the Soviet Union still hadn\\u2019t recognized Lithuania\\u2019s independence and the OMON assaulted the Krak\\u016bnai border post.\\xa0 Approximately 30 Lithuanian officers were attacked and wounded including Gintaras \\u017dagunis who was killed.\\xa0 Two months later the OMON unit stationed in Riga attacked the Medininkai border crossing near the Vilnius-Minsk highway on 31 July.\\xa0 Seven Lithuanian officers, Mindaugas Balavakas, Algimantas Juozakas, Juozas Janonis, Algirdas Kazlauskas, Antanas Musteikis, Stanislovas Orlavi\\u010dius and Ri\\u010dardas Rabavi\\u010dius were shot and killed.\\xa0 These men were unarmed and they were all shot in the head execution style.\\xa0 Customs officer Tomas \\u0160ernas barely survived and today is disabled.
The men responsible for these cold-blooded murders are now in Russia.\\xa0 The Russian government refuses to hand them over to Lithuanian authorities.
