In Season 4 of Life on the Other Side of Should, we are highlighting the collective wisdom of the SheHive. Each week you’ll hear from one of our community members that dared to answer a question we posed on our Facebook group, “What topic could you talk about passionately for 17 1/2 minutes with preparing?”

In Episode 8, Lisa Schmidt of Your Law Geek joins us to talk the commercialization of writing and how editing for sales has taken all the creativity out of creative writing.

Lisa Schmidt is a writer first and a lawyer second. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing (English) from Michigan State University and was on Law Review at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. A published author, Lisa also maintains several blogs and writes long-form fiction novels in her spare time. Lisa is never at a loss for words and knows how to make difficult topics easy for the public to understand.
