Episode 45: Trade Finance Series: Supply Chain Finance and its role in trade finance
Today we will be continuing the Trade Finance series with our Relationship Directors, Mike Backhouse and David Morrish. They have both been aboard at trade conferences earlier this year meeting people from different parts of the world and getting perspectives on the current issues of the day, such as Supply Chain Finance. David in Indonesia (Jakarta) at an ICC Indonesia Supply Chain Finance workshop and Mike was in South Africa (Cape Town) at the International Trade and Finance Association (ITFA) Annual Conference. To start, Mike will step back and discuss what is supply chain and a bit of history. They will then move on, talking about their trips and discussing why Supply Chain is becoming increasingly more relevant in trade finance.
