Welcome! In this episode of Level Up! With Shay, Jonah shares his story about growing up as a south Asian kid in small town Illinois. His confidence was never really there, his thoughts were mostly, if not all, self-defeating, but yet, he knew there had to be more. He spent the year after college saving up money to move out to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. When he arrived, it was less than Hollywood-esque. He spent 3-4 months living out of his car, cycling back and forth from work at a movie theater, and doing anything to survive. Even though he is out of that situation now, is doing what he loves for a living, and happily married, he still admits to running into some challenges. He turns to silence when he needs it and is constantly trying to refine his acting style and his lifestyle. I was so inspired by his unwillingness to stop, how far he\\u2019s come, because I know I related to some of his childhood stories, and his love in supporting others.
