Four skiers were swept up by an avalanche at the Palisades Tahoe ski resort in Olympic Valley. A 66-year-old Truckee man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The League of Women Voters of Nevada County will hold candidate forums for the March 5 Primary election in late January and is asking the community to submit questions for the candidates. Questions can be submitted by email at info@lwvnevadacounty.org.
