In Youth News Corps Reporter Jason Lehman\\u2019s second installment he aims to learn more about how extreme weather and fire affects agriculture in our region.\\xa0 He speaks with Mike Anderson, California state Climatologist, to learn more about how extreme weather happens, and where we get the bulk of our water from.\\xa0 Later on, he speaks with Nevada County Supervisor Sue Hoek. Supervisor Sue Hoek is familiar with the ins and outs of ranching.\\xa0 Hoek has owned and operated the Robinson Family ranch; a ranch that has existed in our community for decades. Jason speaks to her, asking what impacts extreme weather and fire have had on her operation. And finally, Jason talks with Rich Johansen, the vice president of NID.\\xa0 Rich is a 4th generation farmer in our region, and had great swaths of knowledge to offer in regards to farming and water usage.
