b"For one year Black Lives Matter Los Angeles and allies have been protesting in front of Jackie Lacey's office. 52 weeks of protest, testimony, anger, and calls for justice.\\n\\nThis coalition is powerful. LAPD Chief Charlie Beck was forced to leave his post early because of community pressure over his department's deadly actions. Governor Jerry Brown signed SB 1421 which opens up police misconduct records to public scrutiny because state legislators listened to the community and chose to stand with our neighbors.\\n\\nThese actions will not be ending anytime soon. And until our police stop killing our neighbors and family members we will not be silent."
