b'The Hillside Villa apartment complex in Chinatown has been operating under a housing covenant that guarantees affordable rent for tenants. Tom Botz and his daughter Chloe have other designs on the property. Covenants only last for 30 years and it is up to the landlord whether they want to renew. Despite receiving generous tax subsidies for decades the Botz family still wants to displace their tenants.\\n\\nAdella and Mauricio are two tenants who have worked with the LA Tenants Union to fight massive rent increases and resist more displacement.
