Corbin Carson Reports: Malibu becomes the first city to ban single-use plastic utensils and straws
b'The Malibu city council has voted to stop plastic straws one sip at a time. Starting June 1st the sale, distribution and use of single-use straws, stirrers and cutlery is not allowed. Councilwoman Laura Rosenthal says the city was one of the first to ban plastic bags 10-years ago.
To kick things off the city is giving a box of paper straws to each restaurant, along with a copy of the ordinance.'
