What Are "Opportunity Scholarships" and How Will They Improve Education?
Nebraska State Senator Lou Ann Linehan (District 39 in west Omaha and Douglas County) has made LB 295 her priority bill this legislative session. She explains how the "opportunity scholarships" would price income tax credits for donations to a fund that would give scholarship money to low-income Nebraska students to attend private schools. Linehan explains how this has nothing to do with school vouchers or impacting funding of private schools.
