OPPD Plans Major Solar Energy Farm
OPPD President Tim Burke explains why the utility is close to seeking bids for a 400-600 megawatt solar energy farm that would be one of the largest in this part of the country. OPPD will also be converting some coal generating turbines at the North Omaha power station to turbines fueled by natural gas, a cleaner alternative. Burke explains the logic behind the move.
