Iowa Will Likely Move Quickly to Allow Gambling on Sports
Iowa State Rep. Jake Highfill (R-Johnston) says he has written a bill that he will re-introduce in the Iowa House in January to allow wagering on sports in the Hawkeye State. Highfill had introduced that bill in the past session but pulled it when other supporters suggested they wait for the Supreme Court decision rather than putting a law on the books that could have been struck down by the high court if their ruling had gone the other way.
