Iran is considered by cyber experts to be in the top tier of cyberattack capabilities, along with Russia, China and North Korea. Their ability is not only to penetrate cyber systems but to use malicious malware to wipe clean entire computer systems that cannot be recovered has enormous consequences. So a scenario where Iran shuts down a power grid, disables internet connections, wipes medical, banking or government computers of their data is quite possible. We greatly underestimate how dependent we are on the internet -- but think about your daily life without it.
