Who is Kobi Martin??? Mother, Advocate and Founder of Innocent Voices Unsilenced (I.V.U) "My name is Kobi Martin. MY DAUGHTER WAS SEXUALLY ASSAULTED BY SOMEONE WHOM WE’VE KNOWN, TRUSTED AND LOVED FOR OVER A DECADE. She has IDD and due to her disability, she was unable to tell me about the abuse. I have spent my life protecting others and cannot stand silent! I AM HER VOICE! As a family, we have protected her from the world, not realizing that a real threat walked the halls of our home. We often teach our special babies to be “compliant” and to listen to adults. We trust that these people are here to help our babies and not hurt them, teaching them to be trusting of the ones we trust. When this trust is broken, we often sit in silence, believing that our voices will have no impact. Together, we will work to eradicate this silent epidemic, demand justice and be the change that we want to see in this world. We are launching Innocent Voices Unsilenced, (I.V.U.), an organization that will help others with the obstacles that I have and am still faced with during our journey for healing and justice.  I.V.U., is a resource hub for survivors and their families paying close attention to disabled persons.
