California Propositions, Poway Measure P, JRP0171
People are already starting to vote, so I thought I would share my choices for the California Propositions and Measure P in Poway. I share my opinions on the proposition process as a general idea and also my philosophy of respecting individual rights in my choices. We discuss the downside of propositions with California’s choice to make gay marriage illegal with Prop 8 in 2008. We then go through each of props from 14 thru 25 covering issues related to voting rights, taxes, scientific research, rent control and independent contractors. Richard Rider and his “California vs the Other States” analysis plays a key role in much of my decision making on the propositions.
