In this interview with Steel on Steel's John Loeffler, IPI research fellow Bartlett D. Cleland discusses the urgent need to protect U.S. critical infrastructure from domestic or foreign cyberattacks while balancing Americans' right to privacy. Cleland says both security and privacy can be achieved without sacrificing either, and a strong partnership with the private sector should be the goal, rather than imposing new regulations and mandates that are all but guaranteed to erode our liberties.
