Following one of the biggest political rows in the history of the NHS, the operation of the National Health Service in England was made statutorily independent five years ago. But a new report by Nicholas Timmins, Senior Fellow at the Institute for Government and The King's Fund, says the legislation hasn’t achieved what its originators intended. They were joined by Bronwen Maddox, Director of the Institute for Government and Professor Chris Ham, Chief Executive of The King’s Fund. This event is in partnership with The King's Fund.
