Former FIFA, Premier League and Football League referee, Keith Hackett, spoke to Inside about his career officiating some of the biggest games and players in world football.

Hailing from Sheffield, Keith began his career as a referee in the 1960s and quickly moved up the ladder, taking his place on the Football League’s full list aged just 33. During an illustrious officiating career, he took charge of the 1981 FA Cup final and the replay, made famous for Ricky Villa’s dazzling winning solo goal. Hackett was also a Fifa referee for a decade and was original officials in the fledgling Premier League back in 1992.
