On the 12th episode of Inside the Beautiful Game, former women's professional footballer and Republic of Ireland international Sophie Perry chats to host Dan Ogunshakin.
Sophie had a 14-year senior career in the women's game, during which she had three spells at Brighton and Hove Albion, and played for Chelsea, Reading and Lewes. She represented England at age group level and went on to win 24 caps for the republic of Ireland.
Now currently living in Thailand, Sophie tells Dan about her new life in the Kingdom and her new all-girls football academy, her time in the women's game, playing against USA star Megan Rapinoe for Ireland, and her hopes for women's football in the future.
