On the 10th episode of Inside the Beautiful Game, host Dan Ogunshakin spoke to former Manchester United star Wes Brown and ex-Liverpool man Jason McAteer about what it's like to play in games between the two giants of English football from a Manchester and Liverpool perspective respectively.
Manchester-born, Wes, grew up supporting United before going on to play for the first team from 1998 to 2011, winning two Champions League titles, five Premier Leagues, two FA Cups and two League Cups.
Born in Birkenhead, Jason was a Liverpool fan and got a dream move to the club he'd supported all his life in 1995 and went on to make 139 appearances for the Reds.
On the podcast, recorded before the Battle of the Reds 2019 in Singapore, the two chat to host Dan about their memories of these games growing up, how the build-up differs from other matches and what it's like to play in England's biggest fixture.
